Where to find it
- Switch the radio on. With CODE on the screen, hold preset buttons 1 and 6 together for about five seconds; the precode appears, for example A123.
- On many units the precode is also printed on the label on the radio, usually after the word PRE CODE or next to the barcode.
- The precode is always one letter and three digits. A longer number on the label is the serial, not the precode.
How to enter the code
- With CODE on the screen, press preset button 1 until the first digit is shown, then button 2 for the second, button 3 for the third and button 4 for the fourth.
- Hold button 6 for a few seconds to confirm.
- After a wrong code the radio locks for a while, so check each digit before you confirm.
