- Allow the full 60 minutes to elapse. The touchscreen may dim or sleep — this is fine.
- After the lockout period, the "CODE" prompt returns.
Should the car cannot idle for 60 minutes, accessory mode works too to keep the timer running. Do not cutting power — it restarts the countdown.
What Caused the Radio to Lock?
Even on Honda's most recent infotainment platform, the anti-theft code is still possible when the battery is fully drained. The cause is identical across all Honda platform: power loss wipes the radio's authorization state.
- Battery swap or disconnect — the primary trigger.
- Dead battery from storage or neglect — complete power loss triggers the same lock.
