The Chrysler RBT Alpine is a dealer-installed Chrysler audio and multimedia unit. Alongside everyday radio and audio playback it may include touchscreen controls, Bluetooth, CD/DVD playback or factory navigation, depending on how the vehicle was specified.
RBT is the Alpine cassette-plus-single-CD double-DIN with the higher-output amp variant - sits between RBL and RBP in trim level. Same face layout as RBL (cassette over CD) but with a stronger built-in amplifier feeding the door speakers directly without an external amp.

Putting the code into the radio
The code goes straight into the radio, not into the car's menus.
- Give the radio power - the display comes up asking for the code.
- Power on - "CODE 0000" appears. Preset 1 steps digit one, preset 2 digit two, preset 3 digit three, preset 4 digit four. Confirm with preset 5. Some RBT builds tied to Infinity-amp vehicles want the EJECT button held briefly after preset 5 as a secondary confirm.
- Enter the right digits and the unit returns to normal operation immediately.
Troubleshooting the Chrysler RBT Alpine
The unit will not take more codes
Wrong codes put the unit into a lockout, and the only fix is to leave it powered and wait. Three wrong entries triggers a 60-minute "WAIT" lockout. The radio must stay powered for the timer to run.
I cannot find the serial number
It is printed on the housing, so the unit normally has to come forward to read it. Top of the chassis, white sticker, near the back-right edge. Pull the radio with DIN keys (300M, Intrepid) or T20 Torx on the rails (WJ Grand Cherokee).
Why it happened again
That is normal - the anti-theft system re-arms every time the unit loses power. Loss of 12V supply, radio removal, or alternator replacement.
