Putting the code into the radio
Nothing to install and no tools needed - just the four digits.

Common problems
The unit will not take more codes
Wrong codes put the unit into a lockout, and the only fix is to leave it powered and wait. Three wrong codes shows "WAIT" with a 60-minute countdown. Power must remain applied for the timer to count down - cutting ignition resets it. The radio never permanently locks.
The label is not where I expected
Only the radio itself carries it - bring the unit out and the label is right there. Top of the chassis, white sticker near the back-right corner. Locked again after it was fine
Nothing is broken. Any interruption to the 12V supply brings the lock screen back. Loss of 12V - dead battery, battery service, jump-start failure, alternator replacement, or removal of the head unit. Ram trucks with aftermarket lights drawing constant load on the radio fuse sometimes see this after extended parking.
