How the process works
No VIN, no paperwork, no appointment - the serial number off the radio is the only thing we need.
- 1 Get the serial off the radio Look for it on the chassis label. The radio normally has to come forward a little - the wiring can stay plugged in.
- 2 Put it in the form on the left Just the serial and your email. The validator runs before the payment step.
- 3 Your code arrives in seconds The code is on screen straight away and in your inbox. It never expires and works after every battery disconnect.
Covered by a full refund if the code turns out not to fit your unit.

(prefix: T00BE)
Prefixes we see most: T00AM, T00BE
Is This Your Chrysler Uconnect 8.4 RB6?
Before ordering a radio code it is important to confirm the exact model. Compare the design, controls, display and features below with the unit in your dashboard.
What the Chrysler Uconnect 8.4 RB6 looks like:
- 8.4" touchscreen set into the middle of the dash
- Built-in navigation with factory map data
- Sales code RB6 on the chassis label
- A serial that begins with T00AM, T00BE
It is the Chrysler Uconnect 8.4 RB6 when:
- the chassis label carries the RB6 sales code
- the serial on the label starts with T00AM, T00BE
- the build year falls inside 2017-2019
- the screen is the 8.4" touchscreen fitted to the Uconnect 8.4
RB6 supports CarPlay and Android Auto out of the box; RB4 and RB5 do not. If your radio shows the CarPlay/Android Auto icons in the home screen when a phone is plugged in, you are on RB6 rather than the earlier RB-class builds.
About the Chrysler Uconnect 8.4 RB6
The Chrysler Uconnect 8.4 RB6 is an original factory-installed infotainment system developed for selected Chrysler vehicles. Built to deliver reliable audio playback and vehicle integration, this unit may also offer Bluetooth connectivity, touchscreen controls, CD/DVD playback, navigation or multimedia support, depending on the exact configuration.
Uconnect 8.4 RB6 is the late-cycle Panasonic 8.4-inch navigation head unit - the final RB-class build before the transition to the Uconnect 4C platform. Adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto via the front USB port on later firmware builds.
Between 2017-2019 the Chrysler Uconnect 8.4 RB6 appeared across a number of Chrysler models, usually on vehicles using the Panasonic multimedia platform. It stayed in production long enough to become a familiar sight in that generation of cars.
Common features on this unit:
8.4" touchscreen
AM/FM radio
Navigation built in, with factory map data
USB input for music playback
CarPlay and Android Auto support*
Steering wheel control support
Anti-theft security code
*Availability varies with the vehicle specification.
The Chrysler Uconnect 8.4 RB6 carries the same anti-theft protection as most factory units. Once power is cut - a flat battery, a battery swap, or the radio being removed - it will ask for the original code before it comes back to life.
For the manufacturer's own documentation of this platform, see the official Uconnect site.
How to Get the Serial Number From Your Radio
Your unlock code is bound to the radio's serial number, so it is the one detail the form asks for. The number lives on the label stuck to the chassis of the radio itself.
Where exactly: Top of the chassis label. Pull the radio - three 7mm bolts and two trim clips. No menu access while the unit is locked.
Three steps to the serial number:
- Pull the unit forward with release keys (a few dollars online) - the wiring can stay connected.
- Find the printed label on the housing and read the serial off it - it sits beside the barcode.
- Copy it into the form letter for letter; the checker catches any typo before payment.

Four Ways a Chrysler Uconnect 8.4 RB6 Ends Up Locked
The lock screen almost never appears out of nowhere - one of these four situations is behind nearly every locked Chrysler Uconnect 8.4 RB6 we see.
A repair cut the power
Alternator, starter or fuse-box work usually means disconnecting the battery - and the radio arms its anti-theft as a side effect of the repair.
A second-hand radio
Swapping in a second-hand radio means a new serial and therefore a new code - the one from the old unit will never work.
The battery was replaced
Any battery work counts as a power cut to the radio. It locks automatically and waits for the original code before playing again.
You bought the car second-hand
No handbook, no code card, seller long gone - none of it matters. The radio's own serial number carries everything needed to calculate the code.
Whichever of these happened to you, the fix is identical: the serial number off the radio, the form at the top of this page, and the code arrives in seconds.

Find Your Part Number 175
All of the part numbers listed here are supported. Match the one printed on your unit's label and you are in the right place.
Do not worry about the trailing letters: the 175 numbers span 12 base references, and the letter suffixes only mark factory revisions - the code works across all of them.

The part number is printed on the sticker on top of or on the side of the radio chassis, usually next to the serial number. If yours appears above, the Chrysler Uconnect 8.4 RB6 is the right page.
Entering the code on the Chrysler Uconnect 8.4 RB6
It takes less than a minute once you have the four digits.
- Put the key in accessory position so the unit powers up and asks for the code.
- A four-digit keypad appears on the display.
- Key in the code, one digit at a time, left to right.
- The unit checks the code automatically on the last digit.
- Right code in, lock screen gone - the radio is back to normal.
Troubleshooting the Chrysler Uconnect 8.4 RB6
The radio is counting down
A countdown means the anti-theft system is holding the unit. Leave the ignition on until it clears. Three wrong attempts triggers a 30-minute "INCORRECT CODE - WAIT" countdown. Power must stay on the radio for the timer to count down.
I cannot find the serial number
It is printed on the housing, so the unit normally has to come forward to read it. Top of the chassis label. Pull the radio - three 7mm bolts and two trim clips. No menu access while the unit is locked.
Why it happened again
That is normal - the anti-theft system re-arms every time the unit loses power. Loss of 12V power - typical triggers are battery replacement, jump-start failure, or radio removal.
I am not sure I have the right variant
Close relatives of this unit look almost identical from the driver's seat. RB6 supports CarPlay and Android Auto out of the box; RB4 and RB5 do not. If your radio shows the CarPlay/Android Auto icons in the home screen when a phone is plugged in, you are on RB6 rather than the earlier RB-class builds.
Note the four digits somewhere safe - they are permanent and reusable after any power cut.
