How the service works
The whole process needs one piece of information and a few minutes.
- 1 Get the serial off the radio Look for it on the sticker on the housing. The radio normally has to come forward a little - the wiring can stay plugged in.
- 2 Put it in the form on the left Copy it character for character. We check the format before checkout, so a typo never costs you anything.
- 3 Get your code The code is on screen straight away and in your inbox. It never expires and works after every battery disconnect.
If it does not work, you get your money back.
This is an example label - the one in your car sits in the same place and looks much like it.

- the serial on the label starts with T00AM, T00BE, T0012

About the Uconnect 5.0 RA2 VP2H NA
The Uconnect 5.0 RA2 VP2H NA is a dealer-installed Chrysler audio and multimedia unit. Alongside everyday radio and audio playback it may include touchscreen controls, Bluetooth, CD/DVD playback or factory navigation, depending on how the vehicle was specified.
Uconnect 5.0 RA2 is the entry-level Uconnect head unit for North America - 5-inch touchscreen, AM/FM, SiriusXM, Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, USB, but no built-in map navigation. The home screen shows four large tiles (Radio, Media, Phone, More).
Between 2014-2017 the Uconnect 5.0 RA2 VP2H NA appeared across a number of Chrysler models, usually on vehicles using the Harman multimedia platform. It stayed in production long enough to become a familiar sight in that generation of cars.
Common features on this unit:
5.0" touchscreen
AM/FM radio
Factory navigation with on-board maps
Bluetooth for hands-free calls and music streaming
USB media playback
SiriusXM satellite radio*
Steering wheel control support
Anti-theft security code
*Availability varies with the vehicle configuration.
As with other Harman factory units, the Uconnect 5.0 RA2 VP2H NA locks itself when power is lost. After a battery disconnect or a workshop visit the screen will prompt for the original security code before any audio returns.
Background on the platform itself is published by the official Uconnect site.
What Usually Triggers the Code Screen
Almost all of the Uconnect 5.0 RA2 VP2H NA codes we generate follow one of these four events.
The battery was disconnected
A replacement battery - or a flat one after the car stood over winter - cuts power to the radio, and the anti-theft system arms itself the moment power returns.
You bought the car second-hand
No handbook, no code card, seller long gone - none of it matters. The radio's own serial number carries everything needed to calculate the code.
A repair cut the power
Alternator, starter or fuse-box work usually means disconnecting the battery - and the radio arms its anti-theft as a side effect of the repair.
A replacement radio
A used unit from a donor car arrives locked, and the code from your old radio will not fit - the code follows each radio's own serial number, so order it for the serial on the REPLACEMENT unit.
Whichever of these happened to you, the fix is identical: the serial number off the radio, the form at the top of this page, and the code arrives in seconds.
Where to Find Your Uconnect 5.0 RA2 VP2H NA Serial Number
Your unlock code is bound to the radio's serial number, so it is the one detail the form asks for. The number lives on the label printed on the housing of the radio itself.
Where exactly: White label on the top of the chassis. The radio must come out of the dash to read it. On the latest builds the serial is also visible by going to Settings -> System Information on the touchscreen - but only while the radio is unlocked, so this menu is not useful when the radio is in lock mode.
Three steps to the serial number:
- Pull the unit forward with release keys (cheap online) - the wiring can stay connected.
- The serial is on the chassis sticker, usually right by the barcode - copy it down.
- Enter it exactly as it appears - no spaces, no dashes.

Factory Part Numbers 39
These are the OEM references this page covers. If the number on your radio's label appears below, we can recover your code.
Do not worry about the trailing letters: the 39 numbers span 9 base references, and the letter suffixes only mark production revisions - the code works for every revision.

Vehicle compatibility can vary between trims, model years and regional versions. Because the same car could leave the factory with different radios, confirm your unit before placing an order.
Once the code arrives
The code goes straight into the radio, not into the car's menus.
- Put the key in accessory position so the unit powers up and asks for the code.
- A four-digit keypad appears on the display.
- Key in the code, one digit at a time, left to right.
- The unit checks the code automatically on the last digit.
- Right code in, lock screen gone - the radio is back to normal.
If something goes wrong
The radio is counting down
A countdown means the anti-theft system is holding the unit. Leave the ignition on until it clears. After three wrong codes the radio shows "INCORRECT CODE - WAIT" with a countdown of 30 minutes (Uconnect 5.0 uses a shorter timer than NTG4). Keep the ignition in RUN or ACC while waiting. The radio does not permanently lock - the correct code always works once the timer expires.
The serial is hiding from you
Nothing on the car's menus shows it - the number lives on the radio's own label. White label on the top of the chassis. The radio must come out of the dash to read it. On the latest builds the serial is also visible by going to Settings -> System Information on the touchscreen - but only while the radio is unlocked, so this menu is not useful when the radio is in lock mode.
It is asking for the code a second time
By design, every loss of power re-arms the anti-theft lock. Loss of 12V power for more than a minute - replaced battery, dead battery, alternator service, or removal of the radio. Body shops doing collision repair are the most common cause we see.
I am not sure I have the right variant
Close relatives of this unit look almost identical from the driver's seat. If your screen is 5 inches (small, sits high in the dash) with four-tile home screen, you have Uconnect 5.0. If the screen is 8.4 inches and dominates the centre console, you have Uconnect 8.4 (RA3/RA4) - not this page.
Note the four digits somewhere safe - they are permanent and reusable after any power cut.
