How Our Radio Code Generator Works for 2024 Ram ProMaster
- Skip long troubleshooting discussions or service visits - you can generate the code online using the radio S/N.
- Identify the serial number. It is always present on the unit itself, and in some cases you can see it on the ProMaster's display.
- Enter it into the field above, and our system will calculate the correct 2024 ProMaster unlock code.
- When you receive the code, input it using ProMaster's radio buttons to release the blockade successfully.
- The entire process takes just a short moment and requires minimal effort.
Inputting the Security Code
After locating the radio serial and retrieved the unlock code, the last part is entering it into your radio.
Ram factory radios display a ENTER CODE message when ready for input.
The process is usually quick, but button layouts and confirmation methods may differ slightly depending on the radio version installed in your ProMaster.
The Correct Way to Enter It
To type in the unlock code on the 2024 Ram ProMaster's radio:
- Turn the ignition to ON. The display shows "ENTER CODE" or "CODE".
- Touchscreen models (5.0"/7.0" Uconnect): Tap the on-screen keypad to enter each digit of the 4-digit code.
- Non-touchscreen models: Press preset buttons 1-4 to scroll to each digit. Press Enter/OK to confirm.
Lockout: 3 failed attempts activate a 60-minute lockout. Leave the ignition ON for the entire lockout period. Do not turn the key off or the timer restarts.
Can't Find Your Unit's Serial Number? Follow These Steps for Ram ProMaster 2024
The first part is to locate the radio's serial num.
Depending on the radio unit fitted in your 2024 ProMaster, the S/N can usually be found either through the display menu or by pulling the unit out and checking the label on the radio itself.
Follow the steps below to identify your S/N the right way.
Radios Offered in the 2024 Ram ProMaster
The 2024 model year carries over the 2023 facelift's infotainment hardware, so the head-unit lineup is the modern Uconnect 5 family rather than the old Italian-platform Uconnect 3.
- Uconnect 5 with 7-inch touchscreen - the standard fitment on most 2024 ProMaster builds. Wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth dual-phone, voice assistant.
- Uconnect 5 NAV with 10.1-inch touchscreen - the upgrade option on SLT+ and similarly-equipped trims. Adds integrated navigation, SiriusXM with 360L, split-screen capability, and pairs with the 360-degree surround-view camera.
- Optional 360-degree surround-view camera - integrates with the 10.1-inch unit and is a giveaway that you have the larger display.
The simplest way to tell which head unit is in your van is to look at the screen footprint - the 7-inch unit sits inside a larger surround in the dash, while the 10.1-inch unit fills the centre stack and has the Uconnect 5 vertical layout with a permanent climate strip across the bottom.
View Your Serial via the Radio Display
These are the steps you should follow for 2024 Ram ProMaster:
The 2024 Ram ProMaster is based on the Fiat Ducato and comes equipped with the Uconnect 5.0" (RA1) or Uconnect 7.0" infotainment system, depending on the trim level. Unlike the Ram 1500, the ProMaster's radio may not support Dealer Mode.
Method 1 (7" Uconnect): Attempt pressing the bottom-left and bottom-right corners of the screen bezel for 5 seconds to access Dealer Mode.
Method 2 (all models): If Dealer Mode won't open, the radio must be physically removed to read the serial number label. See removal instructions below.
Access the Serial by Pulling Out the Radio
If the serial does not appear in menu, the next step is checking the radio itself.
Many Ram radios require physical access to the serial tag attached to the unit.
Usual approach:
- Start by completely shutting off the engine - pull the key out.
- Then lift the trim panel.
- Next, unscrew the mounting points and pull the radio forward.
- Look for a barcode label showing the serial number.
Removing the radio from the 2024 Ram ProMaster involves a different approach compared to standard Ram trucks:
- Switch off the vehicle.
- Locate the radio unit in the center of the dashboard. The ProMaster's dashboard design is van-style.
- Certain ProMaster radios have small release holes on each side of the radio face. Insert radio release tools into these slots to disengage the retention clips.
- If there are no release holes, pry off the dashboard bezel using a plastic pry tool, then remove the mounting screws and slide the unit out.
ProMaster Tip: The 2024 ProMaster may use a European-style radio mounting system with release key slots rather than the bolt-in system found in other Ram trucks. Check the release holes before resorting to trim removal.
Removing the Radio in a 2024 Ram ProMaster
The 2024 ProMaster's Uconnect 5 head unit, especially the 10.1-inch version, is one of the most deeply integrated radios Ram has ever fitted to this van. We strongly recommend having a Ram dealer or an experienced mobile installer pull this unit - particularly on the larger 10.1-inch screen, where damage to the surrounding trim is easy and expensive.
Before You Start - Safety
- Park on level ground, switch off the ignition and remove the key.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait several minutes for capacitors to discharge.
- Be aware of airbag wiring routed near the upper dash.
Tools You Will Need
- A full plastic trim tool kit and an interior panel removal lever.
- A Phillips and Torx driver set including T20 and T25.
- A magnetic tray for small fasteners.
- A phone with a good macro mode for capturing the chassis label.
Removal Overview
- Gently work a plastic trim tool around the perimeter of the redesigned upper bezel to release its clips.
- Remove the corner Torx screws holding the head-unit brick to its cradle.
- Slide the unit forward and disconnect the harness plugs, antenna lead, USB extension and any camera/HDMI feed.
- Once free, place the unit on a soft surface to read the chassis label.
Where to Find the Serial Number
- Look on the side or top of the radio brick for the white printed or laser-etched label.
- The label carries the serial number, Mopar part number and barcodes.
- Photograph the whole label - the part number distinguishes the 7-inch from the 10.1-inch unit.
Tips Before Reinstalling
- Plug every connector back in firmly, paying attention to camera and HDMI leads.
- Reconnect the battery and allow Uconnect 5 a few minutes to boot fully.
- Verify the climate strip, reverse camera and CarPlay all work before refitting the bezel.

These are the Common Serial Formats
The 2024 Ram ProMaster radio is manufactured by Harman or Continental, similar to other Stellantis vehicles. Common serial number prefixes:
T00AM– Harman Uconnect units (primary prefix)T00BE– Continental unitsTM9– Older Harman production units (earlier models)
Radio models for the ProMaster: RA1 (Uconnect 5.0" base), RA2 (Uconnect 4.3"), or a 7.0" Uconnect (upgraded option). Serial numbers are 14 characters alphanumeric.
Note Since the ProMaster is Fiat Ducato-based, some first-year models may have Fiat-sourced radio components. The serial format remains the same either way.
Understanding Unlock Issues with Your ProMaster
No code prompt means the radio hasn't been triggered. To force the code screen: briefly disconnect the battery, then turn ignition ON. The "ENTER CODE" prompt shows immediately on boot.
ProMaster radios differ by trim: touchscreen models (5.0"/7.0" Uconnect) use the virtual keypad; non-touchscreen models use preset buttons 1, 2, 3, 4 to cycle each digit, then Enter/OK to confirm.
If you're unsure: look at the radio face. A touchscreen reacts to touch; a non-touchscreen will not.
After 3 wrong entries, the radio enters a 60-minute lockout. The screen continues showing "CODE" or "ENTER CODE" but ignores all input.
To clear: Leave ignition ON for a full 60 minutes without cutting power. ProMasters used in daily service runs must complete the full 60-minute wait in one sitting.
The serial label is on the side or back of the radio unit. Since ProMasters may use European-style radio mounts with extraction holes, removing it can be quicker than in pickups.
Serial: 14 alphanumeric characters starting with T00AM, T00BE, or TM9. Avoid the part number (P... or 68...) — it does not generate a valid code.
The ProMaster radio label shows both a serial number (14 chars, starts with T00AM, T00BE, or TM9) and a part number (P05... or 68...). Just the 14-character serial generates the unlock code.
Should the label be hard to read (vans get dusty labels), take a photo with your phone and enlarge it to avoid misreading digits. Reach out to support for a re-check if the code still fails.
Why Is the Radio Asking for a Code?
The ProMaster's Uconnect locks automatically after any power interruption. Delivery vans go through regular maintenance and battery work is common, making this a common trigger.
Common causes:
- Battery replacement — by far the most common reason
- Failed radio fuse — especially after upfit installation
- Buying used without any code documentation
- Battery completely discharged from storage
The code comes from the radio's own serial number — not the VIN.
